Two Chapters, One Calling
Nate Munson spent fifteen years in the technology and entrepreneurship world—building startups, leading products, and working at the intersection of innovation and human behavior. It was a good chapter. He learned how to build things that scale, how to lead teams under pressure, and how to ask the question every product person eventually asks: What is this actually for?
Then COVID-19 arrived, and with it a stillness that made space for a different question. Nate felt a pull toward the Scriptures he couldn’t explain and couldn’t set aside. He enrolled at Dallas Theological Seminary to follow it seriously.
Six years later, he holds a Master of Theology in Bible Exposition from Dallas Theological Seminary—one of the most rigorous biblical studies programs in the world. He has served as a Young Adults minister, co-pastored a church plant, and founded CommonLife, a Bible teaching platform built to help people read Scripture deeply and live it faithfully in their actual lives.
The tech background didn’t disappear—it became part of the calling. Nate brings the same care for craft, the same commitment to doing things right, to the work of pastoral ministry and biblical exposition. He writes and teaches at the intersection of Scripture and contemporary life, convinced that the ancient text has something urgent to say to the modern world.
